This is a good time to get a baseline. A baseline is a snapshot of how you are feeling at the moment. There are different ways to do this, for example, by writing a diary. We prefer using a questionnaire which can be done before you start therapy and at regular intervals. This questionnaire will detect how therapy is helping you.
I use the Clinical Outcomes Rating Scale-Outcome Measure (CORE-OM). You will be asked to complete the CORE-OM regularly. It takes a few minutes to complete and this can be done online.
The CORE-OM asks you to think about the last seven days and answer 34 questions on a scale. Please try to be accurate in your responses, but don’t spend too much time on each question.
Once you fill in the CORE-OM, I will have access to your responses and analyse them to review your progress and adjust the treatment.
If you have any questions about the CORE-OM, please drop me an email or let me know at the next appointment.
