Ownership, Funding and Advertising Policy

Last reviewed: 27 April 2026

Our commitment to transparency

Stronger Minds aims to provide clear, accurate and trustworthy information about psychological therapy, mental health, clinical assessment and related topics.

This page explains who owns Stronger Minds, how the practice is funded, whether we accept advertising or sponsorship, and how we protect the independence and integrity of our clinical content.

Ownership

Stronger Minds is owned and operated by StrongerMinds Psychology Ltd.  Dr Nick Zygouris, Consultant Clinical Psychologist is the sole director of StrongerMinds Psychology Ltd.

Dr Nick Zygouris is an HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.

The Stronger Minds website, including its clinical information pages, blog articles and service pages, is created to support public understanding of psychological difficulties, therapy options and access to private psychological assessment and treatment.

Funding

Stronger Minds is funded through income from private clinical services, including psychological assessment, therapy, consultation and related professional services.

The website is not funded by pharmaceutical companies, product manufacturers, third-party advertisers, sponsored placements or commercial organisations that could influence the content we publish.

Clinical content is not written or edited in exchange for payment from external organisations.

Advertising

Stronger Minds does not currently host third-party advertising on this website.

This means we do not display paid adverts from external companies, sponsored product placements, banner advertising, paid advertorials or affiliate marketing content.

If this changes in the future, any paid advertising, sponsorship, affiliate relationship or commercial partnership will be clearly labelled so that readers can distinguish independent clinical content from paid promotional content.

Paid promotion of Stronger Minds services

Stronger Minds may use paid search advertising, local search listings, social media promotion or other forms of digital marketing to make people aware of our own services.

Any such advertising relates to Stronger Minds services only. It does not influence the clinical information published on this website, the recommendations made within content, or the professional judgement used in clinical work.

We do not make guarantees about therapy outcomes. Psychological therapy can be helpful for many people, but outcomes vary depending on the person, their circumstances, the nature of the difficulty, the therapeutic approach, and the quality of fit between client and therapist.

Editorial independence

Clinical and educational content on this website is guided by professional judgement, clinical experience, relevant evidence, and the need to communicate psychological information responsibly.

Search engine optimisation, marketing aims and website visibility do not take priority over clinical accuracy, professional ethics or reader safety.

We aim to avoid:

  • exaggerated claims about therapy outcomes
  • misleading or fear-based marketing
  • claims that a specific therapy is guaranteed to work
  • content that encourages people to avoid appropriate medical, psychiatric or emergency support
  • undisclosed commercial influence
  • paid recommendations presented as independent advice

Conflicts of interest

If Stronger Minds publishes content that refers to an external organisation, service, professional body, book, tool, product, app or resource, this does not automatically mean that there is a financial relationship or endorsement.

External links may be included when they are clinically relevant, educationally useful, or helpful for readers seeking further information.

Where a financial, professional or commercial relationship exists and is relevant to the content, we will aim to disclose this clearly.

Affiliate links and sponsored content

Stronger Minds does not currently use affiliate links or publish sponsored clinical content.

If affiliate links, sponsored articles or commercial partnerships are introduced in the future, these will be clearly identified. We will not allow such relationships to determine the clinical conclusions, therapeutic recommendations or educational messages published on the website.

Product and service recommendations

Where a resource, book, service, website or organisation is mentioned, this is included for information only unless stated otherwise.

A mention on this website should not be understood as a guarantee of quality, clinical suitability or effectiveness for any individual reader.

Readers should use their own judgement and, where appropriate, seek professional advice before relying on any external service, product or resource.

Clinical content and professional standards

Content on this website is intended to support public understanding of psychological therapy and mental health. It is not a substitute for individual assessment, diagnosis, therapy, medical advice or crisis support.

Where content discusses mental health difficulties, diagnosis or treatment, it is written with the aim of being accurate, balanced and clinically responsible.

If you are unsure whether therapy is suitable for you, or whether Stronger Minds is the right service for your needs, you are welcome to make an enquiry.

Emergency and crisis information

Stronger Minds does not provide an emergency or crisis service.

If you believe that you or someone else is at immediate risk of serious harm, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E department.

If you need urgent mental health support in the UK, you can also contact:

  • NHS 111 and select the mental health option where available
  • Samaritans on 116 123
